About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will join our Technology Enablement team to support business operations and reporting. You will work alongside our Data or Python Engineering teams to maintain pipelines, build applications, and automate workflows. This position offers exposure to cloud technologies and modern development tools while you contribute to projects that impact our business.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain Python code, scripts, and data pipelines to collect, clean, and enrich data.
- Build data sets, dashboards, and reporting solutions using Amazon Redshift and Amazon QuickSight.
- Contribute to our transition from Amazon Redshift to a data lake.
- Create Python scripts, application features, and AWS Lambda functions to automate business workflows.
- Write SQL queries to organize and validate structured and semi-structured data.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to solve technical challenges.
- Test and validate your work for accuracy and performance while participating in peer code reviews.
- Use AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code and Kiro.
- Manage projects and track progress using Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
What you'll need#
- Completed your sophomore year of undergraduate studies in computer science, MIS, data science, or a related engineering discipline.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts and completion of at least one programming course.
- Familiarity with Python, SQL, and relational databases like PostgreSQL.
- Exposure to data warehousing, data lakes, or visualization tools such as Amazon QuickSight or Tableau.
- Basic knowledge of cloud computing concepts, specifically AWS and AWS Lambda.
- Experience with version control tools like Git and GitHub.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and identify solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively, take ownership of your work, and adapt to new challenges.
- A positive attitude, curiosity, and a willingness to learn new systems.

- Location: Chanhassen, Minnesota.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time internship.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
- Compensation: $28.00 per hour.
