CAE Summer Intern

About the role#

TG Kentucky, LLC is seeking a CAE Summer Intern for the 2026 summer term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Plymouth, Michigan. The intern will support safety-related product development and contribute to benchmarking and process improvement initiatives.

What you'll do#

• Assist with and perform safety-related CAE projects.
• Create computer models and process results to learn standard CAE procedures.
• Improve model accuracy and contribute to process automation.
• Conduct safety R&D using LS-DYNA software.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies or enrollment as a graduate student.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of the theory and application of the finite element method (FEA).
• Experience with CAD software and LS-DYNA CAE tools.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
• Preferred: Computer programming skills in Python or scripting.
