Biomechanical Engineer Summer Intern

About the role#

TG Kentucky, LLC is seeking a Biomechanical Engineer Summer Intern to join the safety systems engineering team. This role focuses on the hands-on development and testing of prototype safety components within the automotive manufacturing industry.

What you'll do#

• Assist the engineering team with prototype builds, including tracing, cutting, and sewing airbag cushion components.
• Create and modify 2D CAD drawings of safety system parts using engineering principles.
• Set up and conduct tests on prototype safety components.
• Support the reporting and analysis of tested parts.
• Lead specific engineering projects and perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Industrial Engineering.
• High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent organization, communication, and time management abilities.
• A strong desire to learn all aspects of safety systems.
