About the role#
TG Kentucky, LLC is seeking a Biomechanical Engineer Summer Intern to join the safety systems engineering team. This role focuses on the hands-on development and testing of prototype safety components within the automotive manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist the engineering team with prototype builds, including tracing, cutting, and sewing airbag cushion components.
- Create and modify 2D CAD drawings of safety system parts using engineering principles.
- Set up and conduct tests on prototype safety components.
- Support the reporting and analysis of tested parts.
- Lead specific engineering projects and perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Industrial Engineering.
- High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent organization, communication, and time management abilities.
- A strong desire to learn all aspects of safety systems.
