About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern at Textron, you will work alongside experienced professionals on real projects. This internship provides hands-on experience to help you build skills and explore your career interests in the aviation and aerospace component manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, configure, test, and document software solutions based on requirements.
- Assist the engineering department with daily tasks and special projects.
- Follow agile processes, including participation in daily scrum meetings and sprint retrospectives.
- Meet project timelines and complete tasks according to the schedule.
- Gather statistics and prepare project status reports for the team.
- Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines.
- Implement new technologies and processes to support business needs.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Knowledge or experience with Java, C#, C/C++, SQL, HTML, or JavaScript.

- This position is located in Augusta, Georgia.
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship for the Summer 2027 term.
