About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Augusta, Georgia, gaining hands-on experience by supporting material planning and manufacturing operations. You will work alongside professionals on real projects to build your skills and prepare for your career.
What you'll do#
- Manage material planning by issuing purchase orders, expediting orders, and verifying delivery dates.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points based on current manufacturing schedules.
- Analyze material demand and part shortages to determine impacts on capacity and schedules.
- Maintain data records within company planning systems and help establish production schedules.
- Perform system data analysis, maintenance, and clean-up.
- Stage orders, create stockroom pick lists, order tools, and schedule materials.
- Assist supervisors with the disposition of rejected materials, order completion, and bottleneck analysis.
- Develop new procedures and complete problem analysis for process improvements.
- Prepare reports and communications as requested.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Familiarity with SAP.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to manage your time and organize priorities effectively.
