About the role#
As a Systems Engineering Intern within the Aerospace and Defense team, you will work on system innovations for demanding industry applications like space, radar, and communications. You will interact directly with customers, product development teams, and sales to enable future system advancements. This role provides exposure to applications engineering, product marketing, and sales to help broaden your technical knowledge.
What you'll do#
- Work with leading customers to provide high performance solutions.
- Utilize a broad portfolio of commercial, automotive, and high reliability devices to create system level solutions.
- Combine hardware and software capabilities to integrate complete solutions.
- Develop system level reference designs, including block diagrams, schematic capture, PCB layout, fabrication, assembly, and lab testing.
- Interface with business units and customers to influence product roadmaps.
- Gather user requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Implement solutions and enhancements to end equipment.
- Provide complete documentation for system level designs.
- Perform troubleshooting and debugging on system issues.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher.
- Must be a US Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee, Refugee, or otherwise lawfully admitted under an amnesty program.
- Understanding of system design, including writing IC design specifications, developing algorithms, and creating system reference models.
- Knowledge of structured or object-oriented programming (C, C++) and signal processing tools like Matlab.
- Experience with schematic capture simulation tools and analysis of electrical circuits.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work in teams, build relationships with stakeholders, and present solutions clearly.
