    About the role#

    Systems engineers at Texas Instruments understand technical needs and future trends of end equipment to create new products. You will join at an early stage of development, working with customers, marketing, and design teams to negotiate specifications and define technical requirements. This role involves collaborating with the full IC development team to deliver competitive and manufacturable products.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop advanced analog and digital chips and system products from concept to mass production.
    • Complete high speed IC design cycles and participate in various system design activities.
    • Interface with business units and customers to define product roadmaps.
    • Assess and negotiate IC development tradeoffs.
    • Evaluate silicon and systems solutions including hardware, software, and related documentation.
    • Gather user requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and implement solutions.
    • Provide documentation for each development lifecycle step.
    • Perform troubleshooting and debugging on system issues.
    • Analyze end-equipment in automotive, industrial, consumer, and computing spaces to identify future trends.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
    • A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
    • Knowledge of analog electronics fundamentals such as feedback systems, filters, MOSFET/BJT, and frequency domain analysis.
    • Proficiency in structured or object oriented programming like C or C++ and signal processing tools such as Matlab.
    • Experience with system design including writing IC design specifications, developing algorithms, and creating system reference models.
    • Experience with schematic design, PCB layout, circuit debugging, and system testing.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
    • Ability to simplify complex problems, navigate uncertainty, and learn new systems quickly.
    • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to collaborate across functions, take initiative, and manage time to meet project deadlines.
