About the role#
Texas Instruments is looking for a Summer 2027 intern to join the Smart Manufacturing and Automation Quality and Test organization. You will work on projects involving artificial intelligence, machine learning, and workflow automation. This role focuses on developing intelligent systems that support manufacturing quality and test operations in our semiconductor facilities.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop AI-powered automation workflows using LLM platforms and agentic frameworks.
- Build data analytics dashboards and APIs to support manufacturing quality decisions.
- Create and refine prompt engineering solutions for manufacturing use cases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement machine learning solutions.
- Contribute to test automation frameworks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
- Programming experience in Python, SQL, or similar scripting languages.
- Experience with AI code generation platforms, such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor, and LLM APIs.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
- Exposure to agentic AI frameworks including LangChain, AutoGPT, CrewAI, or Model Context Protocol.
- Data Science coursework and experience with data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different functions.
