About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will work within our semiconductor fabrication facilities. You will collaborate with technical teams to support wafer fabrication processes and product engineering. This position is based in North Texas, with placement in Dallas, Richardson, or Sherman depending on business needs. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Define processes and select tools for wafer fabrication.
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and modification of manufacturing equipment.
- Train operators and technicians on new process setups.
- Use data to improve fabrication processes and reduce production costs.
- Manage new product introductions and provide ongoing production support.
- Interface with design, test, reliability, and integration teams to resolve product issues.
- Optimize engineering processes to meet fab cycle time goals.
- Present technical information regarding project schedules and specific initiatives.
- Handle accurate product dispositions of non-conforming items.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Microelectronics, or MET.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in teams across different functions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to take initiative.
- Capability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
