About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Texas Instruments, you will join our semiconductor fabrication team in Lehi, Utah. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship. You will work on technical projects within our manufacturing facilities to improve processes and support production goals.
What you'll do#
- Manage tool selection, process definition, and equipment maintenance, including installation and upgrades.
- Conduct process setup and provide training for technicians and operators.
- Use data to make improvements to the fabrication process and perform product dispositions on non-conforming items.
- Interface with design, test, reliability, and manufacturing engineering teams to solve production problems.
- Develop process improvements to reduce costs and increase yields.
- Manage new product introductions and provide production support engineering.
- Optimize engineering processes to meet fab cycle time goals and resolve issues that limit yield performance.
- Present technical information regarding specific projects and schedules to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Microelectronics, or MET.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in teams and collaborate across different functions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to drive for results.
- Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders.
