About the role#
As an Industrial Engineer Intern, you will help evaluate and support our manufacturing operations. You will work side-by-side with experienced engineers and participate in 5S and Lean manufacturing activities. This role involves identifying areas for cycle time improvement using Factory Physics theories and using industry standard software to analyze performance gaps.
What you'll do#
- Support FAB capacity modeling and equipment throughput analysis in a clean room environment.
- Participate in production scheduling and dispatching rules development.
- Gather information to understand capacity analysis and production impact.
- Collect and validate operational performance data from automation and system logs.
- Support the automation of data extraction and manufacturing processes.
- Extract and analyze large data sets.
- Collaborate with teams across different functions.
- Develop applications to support manufacturing needs through basic coding.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, System Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations Research.
- Minimum cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment while wearing a smock.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in teams and build influential relationships.
- Strong time management skills to ensure on-time project delivery.
- Initiative and a drive for results.
