About the role#
Texas AirSystems is hiring a Sales/Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time internship is based in Houston, Texas. You will work on-site and report to an Account Manager or Sales Leader. This role is paid.
What you'll do#
- Create and maintain job files for each project throughout its duration.
- Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
- Read, understand, and interpret building plans and specifications.
- Optimize projects through product selection, specifications, estimates, proposals, value engineering, and redesigns.
- Communicate with owners, architects, MEP Consultants, and contractors.
- Organize project data for order entry and track submittal requests.
- Determine project requirements to meet customer expectations for system design, installation, and maintenance.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, estimating, construction management, or the contracting environment.
- Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing project needs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers, manufacturers, and team members.

- Physical Requirements: You must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds and perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, or occasionally climbing and crouching.
