About the role#
Texas AirSystems is hiring a Sales/Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Austin. This full-time, paid internship is designed for students pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering. You will report to a Sales Leader or Account Manager and support the team by coordinating equipment selection, pricing, and project timelines.
What you'll do#
- Create and maintain job files for each project throughout its duration.
- Optimize projects through product selection, specifications, plans, estimates, proposals, and value engineering.
- Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
- Read, understand, and interpret building plans and specifications.
- Organize project data for order entry.
- Communicate with owners, architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Investigate concerns and implement corrective actions to maintain customer satisfaction.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in engineering or a related field.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, estimating, engineering, construction management, or the contracting environment.
- Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work on-site in an office environment and frequently in the field.
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
