About the role#
The Whitlowe R. Green College of Education at Prairie View A&M University is looking for a Graduate Assistant. This part-time role requires 20 hours of work per week. You will provide administrative, instructional, and research support across various departmental programs while gaining experience in higher education administration.
What you'll do#
- Assist faculty with preparing course materials and setting up Canvas learning management sites.
- Manage documentation for field-based observations and support clinical teaching coordination.
- Conduct literature reviews and assist with data collection and entry for faculty research.
- Organize performance metrics for state and national accreditation reporting.
- Handle front-line customer service, answer inquiries from students and visitors, and route administrative forms.
- Maintain electronic student and program files.
- Plan and manage logistics for college workshops, orientations, clinical teaching seminars, and special departmental events.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor's degree in an applicable field.
- Current enrollment as a full-time graduate student at Prairie View A&M University.
- You must maintain good academic standing.
- Completion of at least 9 credit hours during fall and spring semesters, or 6 credit hours during the summer.
