About the role#
The Office of Academic Affairs at Prairie View A&M University is hiring a Graduate Assistant to provide administrative and academic support. This position assists the Office of the Provost in maintaining accurate records and supporting various policy projects.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and review documents on the HB 2504 webpage.
- Check academic webpages to ensure catalog information is accurate.
- Follow up on textbook orders.
- Assist with policy reviews and Open Educational Resources projects.
- Handle clerical tasks such as filing, answering phones, and directing calls.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Current enrollment as a full-time graduate student at Prairie View A&M University.
- Enrollment in at least 9 graduate credits per semester.
- Good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- A commitment to accuracy, integrity, and professional conduct.
- Familiarity with academic integrity principles and higher education governance is helpful.
