About the role#
The Cybersecurity Consultant Development Program is a paid, immersive internship designed to build the technical and professional skills necessary for a career as an Information Security Associate. As a Developing Consultant, you will join a client-facing team within the Systems and Organizations Controls (SOC) practice area to assist with project delivery and security assessments. This program emphasizes continuous learning and practical application of cybersecurity and compliance principles.
What you'll do#
- Develop the technical and business skills required to contribute to billable client projects.
- Gather requirements and execute on established project plans.
- Document execution procedures and provide professional insights into the technologies involved.
- Learn about industry-standard certifications, frameworks, and their practical benefits.
- Assist senior consultants with client engagements and security control remediation.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in or a graduate of an accredited 4-year university (or Military equivalent).
- Academic background in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Basic familiarity with networking concepts, including firewalls, routers, switches, and DNS.
- Proficiency in computer troubleshooting and server systems administration.
- Understanding of business planning and accounting principles.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks is considered a plus.
- Strong writing skills for both expository and technical documentation.
- Ability to work onsite at the designated office location.
