Cybersecurity Internship Fall 2026

About the role#

The Cybersecurity Consultant Development Program is an immersive, paid internship designed to build the technical and professional skills necessary for a career in information security. Participants work as Developing Consultants, assisting the client-facing team with project delivery across areas such as enterprise risk, compliance, and solutions implementation. The program is designed to prepare interns for potential transition into full-time roles as Information Security Associates.

What you'll do#

• Develop technical and business skills to contribute to billable client projects.
• Assist Consultants with client engagements, including data collection and report writing.
• Observe the implementation of Enterprise Security Solutions, internal and external penetration testing, and social engineering projects.
• Create and document execution procedures and provide insights into the technologies involved.
• Learn about industry-standard certifications, frameworks, and legislation, including PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and the ISO 27000 series.
• Plan and execute technical projects to meet specific business requirements.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year university or current enrollment in an accredited 4-year program.
• Academic background in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Business Administration.
• Basic familiarity with networking concepts (firewalls, routers, switches, DNS), computer troubleshooting, and server systems administration.
• Understanding of business planning and accounting.
• Strong writing skills for both technical and expository documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks is considered a plus.

• Locations: Irvine, California, and Fairfax, Virginia.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Term: Fall 2026 (October 5th – December 11th).
• Status: Full-time, paid internship.
