About the role#
Tetra Pak is hiring Engineering Interns for our facility in Sikeston, Missouri. This program offers hands-on experience across three focus areas: Autonomous Maintenance, World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Analysis, and Preventive Maintenance. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support production, maintenance, and engineering teams while contributing to projects that improve safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
What you'll do#
- Participate in equipment inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and condition monitoring.
- Develop and maintain AM standards, checklists, and visual management tools.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Collect, organize, and analyze operational and maintenance data.
- Generate reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance activities.
- Identify operational inefficiencies using WCM methodologies and lean principles.
- Participate in kaizen events and process optimization.
- Support root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, and Pareto Analysis.
- Support WCM audits and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
- Support E-maintenance activities and improvement of CMMS.
- Manage spare parts activities and inventory.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Operations Management, Business Analytics, or Supply Chain Management.
- Graduation date must be after April 28, 2028.
- Availability to work onsite full-time from May 31, 2027, through August 13, 2027, and part-time (up to 20 hours per week) during the school year until April 28, 2028.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
- A collaborative, team-oriented work style with a proactive and curious mindset.
- Interest in continuous improvement methodologies and project management.
- Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.

- Compensation: Paid internship ($22-$25/hour).
