About the role#
As a Service Technician Trainee Intern, you will work directly on customer vehicles and handle hands-on tasks at our service center. You will learn about electric vehicles and our technologies. This role is a chance to build technical skills. Successful interns may have the opportunity to advance into the Tesla START Apprenticeship Program based on your performance and program capacity.
What you'll do#
- Perform entry-level inspection, repair, and service of electric vehicles.
- Use a variety of hand, power, and shop tools.
- Conduct equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications.
- Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections for new cars.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness for customers.
- Manage inventory and keep records of time, shop supplies, and parts.
- Support Parts and Front of House operations on a rotational basis.
What you'll need#
- A valid driver license.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- A safety-first attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
- Basic computer skills, including web browsing and Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with the English language.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair methods.
- Current enrollment in an Automotive program is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Schedule: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: $25.00 - $27.50 per hour.
