About the role#
Tesla is seeking an intern to join the Total Rewards team. You will support benefits administration, vendor management, and internal communications. This role requires a hands-on approach to evaluating current processes and finding ways to improve them.
What you'll do#
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate communications regarding Total Rewards.
- Partner with the People Content team to review and develop communication materials.
- Track the effectiveness of communication styles and content.
- Coordinate new vendor relationship implementations.
- Support the transition of manual onsite processes to new vendors.
- Assist with open enrollment preparedness.
- Monitor internal emails and address employee needs.
- Develop a list of vendors for employee discounts and work with Global Supply on legal documentation.
- Collaborate with staff and vendors to transition QMCSOs, VOEs, and Medicare processes.
- Update SharePoint and the HR Chatbot to reflect new policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Experience in HR, Benefits, Administration, or Customer Service.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of benefit plan administration and management.
- Familiarity with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and IRS regulations.
- Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Location: Austin, Texas.
- Terms: Winter 2027 or Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
- Majors: Human Resources or Business Administration.
