About the role#
The People Products team acts as the technology partner within the People organization. We bridge the gap between end-users and system developers. Our work focuses on insourcing technology needs, supporting users, and automating processes to improve employee efficiency. As an intern, you will help optimize and scale AI tools that change the employee experience. This role sits at the intersection of HR and technology, where you will deploy AI to improve processes, automate workflows, and increase data reliability.
What you'll do#
- Configure, test, and deploy LLM-powered features and agent tools while establishing best practices for AI system usage.
- Partner with product leaders and engineering teams to identify organizational bottlenecks, shape the product roadmap, and architect scalable solutions.
- Translate HR business requirements into technical solutions and find opportunities to apply AI to HR processes and analytics.
- Execute A/B testing frameworks and analyze conversation data, user feedback, and system metrics to improve AI tool accuracy.
- Create and maintain program roadmaps, timelines, and milestone tracking.
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and track risks, dependencies, and blockers.
- Maintain clear stakeholder communication through status updates, metrics, and escalations.
- Document workflows, create SOPs, and manage AI system configuration and content.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in project management, operations, or technical coordination, with a preference for AI implementation or process improvement.
- Proficiency with AI/ML tools and platforms.
- Comfort working with knowledge base platforms, generative AI systems, prompt engineering, or LLM-based applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Location & details#
- Location: Palo Alto, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January through May/June).
- Duration: Minimum of 12 weeks.
- Work Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour plus benefits.
