About the role#
This internship focuses on system integration and test automation for Tesla Energy products. You will work on hardware and firmware integration for grid-connect batteries, EV chargers, and solar products. The position requires a full-time, on-site commitment of at least 12 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Support system-level testing, debugging, and troubleshooting on real hardware.
- Assist with firmware validation and regression testing.
- Develop test automation scripts using Python.
- Design and implement next-generation test systems, including fault injection setups.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and C/C++.
- Ability to read schematics and build basic electrical systems.
- Experience using lab tools like oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
- Comfort working with high-voltage and high-power systems.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools for coding, data analysis, or engineering problem-solving.
- Practical experience through projects such as robotics, solar car, or Formula SAE.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Location: Palo Alto, California.
- Terms: Winter 2027 or Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour plus benefits.
