About the role#
As a Program Manager Intern in our Energy department, you will lead cross-functional projects across energy firmware, system integration, and validation. You will work with experienced professionals on firmware integration projects for residential, charging, and industrial energy systems. This is a full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Manage cross-functional software and firmware energy programs from release scoping and design through to validation and project closure.
- Develop project plans and ensure on-time delivery.
- Collect and analyze data to present progress, trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional teams, balance tasks, run meetings, and create project plans.
- Coordinate firmware trials and validation by working with product management, service teams, and field teams.
- Define and drive schedules for new project launches and sustaining programs.
- Communicate project status updates, lead scrums and standups, and manage schedule risks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering degree program, or Computer Science.
- Evidence of exceptional ability.
- Experience managing end-to-end product deployment from concept through launch.
- Familiarity with firmware and software system development concepts.
- Experience building and managing effective project management tools and processes.
- Strong organization and delegation skills with a track record of delivering projects on time.
- Ability to own a product roadmap and inspire confidence across all levels of management.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Project and PowerPoint, is preferred.
- Previous engineering internship experience is preferred.

- Location: Palo Alto, California, United States.
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
- Terms: Winter 2027, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027.
- Commitment: Minimum of 12 weeks, full-time.
