About the role#
As a member of the AI Hardware Infrastructure team, you will support AI initiatives by building automation, infrastructure, and services. You will work with AI hardware design and High-Performance Computing teams to accelerate workloads, debug performance bottlenecks, and resolve cluster issues. This is a full-time, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Develop Python libraries to automate, monitor, measure, and troubleshoot AI hardware infrastructure workflows.
- Spend approximately half of your time building automation and infrastructure in Python and other languages.
- Debug, experiment, and resolve infrastructure challenges and performance bottlenecks.
- Create and maintain tools for infrastructure, observability, and reporting.
- Triage errors and provide maintainable solutions for internal users.
- Proactively address infrastructure challenges to enhance the scalability and efficiency of AI hardware workloads.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Physics, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Graduation date between May 2027 and May 2028.
- Strong proficiency in Python and the ability to learn new languages and frameworks.
- Extensive familiarity with Linux administration and internals.
- Experience or a strong interest in automation, observability, and infrastructure development.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug and optimize complex systems.
Location & details#
- Location: Palo Alto, California.
- Terms: Winter 2027, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027.
- Commitment: Minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours per week), on-site.
- Compensation: $40.00 - $65.00 per hour plus benefits.
