About the role#
The Integration Platforms team creates technology to support our vehicle fleet from prototype to production. We are shifting to an AI-first strategy to change how our tools are built and scaled. As an intern, you will build AI-powered technology that interfaces with our vehicles and improves engineering workflows. You will work across multiple product domains to develop tools that interact with vehicles, analyze large datasets, and automate software release cycles.
What you'll do#
- Build and orchestrate AI agents and related tooling.
- Develop and maintain back-end services and frameworks.
- Contribute to database design, data modeling, and caching architecture.
- Support DevOps tasks, including builds, deployments, CI/CD, and infrastructure.
- Apply product security practices across the stack.
- Write and run validation tests, quality checks, and reliability work.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with an expected graduation date between May 2027 and May 2028.
- Proficiency in Go and Python.
- Hands-on experience building full-stack applications using web frameworks.
- Experience with backend infrastructure, such as relational databases, containerization, workflow orchestration, and stream processing systems.
- Experience or a strong interest in building LLM-powered applications, including understanding AI agent architectures, function calling, and the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate on multiple concurrent projects.
- Preferred: Exposure to large-scale data processing, querying, and analytics.

- Location: Palo Alto, California, United States.
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
- Terms: Winter 2027, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027.
- Duration: Minimum of 12 weeks.
- Compensation: $50.06 - $59.89 per hour, plus benefits.
