About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site internship for the Winter and Spring 2027 terms. You will join the Information Security team in Austin to identify vulnerabilities through simulated attacks and recommend security defenses. This role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week for at least 12 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Perform penetration testing and simulated attacks on web, mobile, and API applications.
- Conduct regular code reviews and threat modeling with development and DevOps teams.
- Build and maintain custom exploit tools and scripts using Python, Bash, or JavaScript.
- Research emerging threats through conferences, CTF challenges, and bug bounty programs.
- Collaborate on solo and team projects, including the development of security policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or related degree program, with a graduation date between 2027 and 2028.
- Strong penetration testing experience and an understanding of web vulnerabilities like SQLi, XSS, and CSRF.
- Experience with secure architecture design and auditing code or features.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: C, C++, PHP, Go, x86, ARM, CAN, cryptography, reverse engineering, or wireless networks.
- Participation in Capture the Flag (CTF) events is helpful.
