About the role#
Join the Tesla Energy Mobile App team to build features for Solar, Powerwall, Wall Connector, and Powershare. You will write production code that ships to millions of users. You will work alongside senior engineers and collaborate with Product, Design, Firmware, and Cloud teams. This role requires on-site work in Palo Alto for a minimum of 12 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Build full stack features using TypeScript, React Native, Swift, SwiftUI, and Go.
- Ship code directly to users through our release train.
- Test software on real hardware, including Solar and Powerwall devices.
- Partner with designers to turn Figma files into polished, pixel-perfect user interfaces.
- Use AI coding agents to increase development speed while maintaining ownership of your code.
- Collaborate in a large, shared codebase by writing clear pull requests and reviewing teammates' work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree program.
- Fluency in TypeScript and React Native or React.
- Experience with Swift, SwiftUI, or Go is a plus.
- Experience working on a team codebase, such as a prior internship, open source project, or substantial team project.
- Proficiency with git, pull requests, and code review processes.
- Ability to steer AI coding tools with the judgment to verify output and identify incorrect code.
- Strong attention to detail regarding visual elements like typography and spacing.
- High standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance.
- Commitment to Tesla's mission of accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy.

- Location: Palo Alto, California.
- Term: Winter 2027, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time, 40 hours per week, on-site.
