About the role#
As an Instructional Design Intern, you will create training content for the Service teams. You will plan, execute, and evaluate projects while working with technical content. Success in this role relies on collaborating with subject matter experts and training managers to identify needs and design effective solutions. This is a paid, full-time internship requiring 40 hours per week on-site.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop instructor-led and eLearning courses that align with project plans, adult learning theories, and style guides.
- Ensure training content is clear, accurate, and meets customer expectations.
- Capture requirements, build designs, develop content, and evaluate outcomes.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to scope curricula requirements.
- Work with e-learning developers and multimedia specialists to publish interactive courses.
What you'll need#
- A portfolio of your work.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in progress or recently completed in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or a related field.
- A strong understanding of adult learning theory, including the ADDIE model, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and learning styles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced skills in PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- Experience with learning management systems and platforms like Articulate Storyline and Rise is preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong time management, organizational, project planning, and feedback skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Sparks, Nevada.
- Term: Winter and Spring 2027. The position starts in January or February 2027 and continues through the Spring term, with a minimum commitment of 12 weeks.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Eligibility: You must be actively enrolled in an academic program.
