About the role#
This internship focuses on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) engineering. You will work on-site in Palo Alto, California, supporting our engineering team with testing, simulation, and design tasks. This is a full-time, paid position for students currently enrolled in an academic program.
What you'll do#
- Use AI tools and agents to assist with test data analysis, post-processing, simulation, and report generation.
- Develop Python scripts and AI-assisted tools to streamline data collection and interpret EMC testing results.
- Work on schematic and circuit board layout design specifically for EMC requirements.
- Conduct modeling and simulation for product packaging and assembly.
- Design cables for RF shielding.
- Troubleshoot EMC issues using standards such as CISPR 25, ISO-11452-2, and ISO-7637 under the guidance of our engineers.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of analog and digital electronic design.
- Understanding of electromagnetic theory, transmission lines, and the non-ideal behavior of passive components.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, data analysis, and test automation.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts, including experience with large language models or AI coding assistants.
- Exposure to RF simulation tools like ANSYS HFSS, CST, or FEKO.
- Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and arbitrary waveform generators.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- A self-starting, results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Bonus points for hands-on experience debugging radiated and conducted emission issues or using EMC-specific equipment like spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, antennas, and near-field probes.

- Location: Palo Alto, California.
- Term: Winter 2027, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 weeks.
