About the role#
The Data Engineering team builds analytics platforms for business and operation intelligence. You will help design, develop, maintain, and support our Enterprise Data Warehouse and BI platform. This role provides an opportunity to build data tools that help the organization make data-driven decisions.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines.
- Build and optimize data models and datasets for operational reporting and analytics.
- Write well-organized SQL and Python for transformations.
- Contribute to orchestration and distributed processing tasks.
- Gather data requirements from engineers and stakeholders to deliver reliable data products.
- Monitor and improve the performance, quality, and reliability of datasets.
- Identify and interpret trends in complex data sets.
- Communicate methodology, assumptions, and results to technical audiences.
- Drive improvements to data systems by working with cross-functional stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Graduation date between December 2026 and December 2027.
- Proficiency in at least one of these: Python, Java, Go, C/C++, Ruby, or SQL.
- Familiarity with database concepts like MySQL or MS SQL.
- Strong grasp of fundamental computer science concepts and the ability to write clean, organized code.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
- Detail-oriented and execution-focused mindset.
- Experience with AirFlow, Splunk, Kafka, or Spark is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Fremont, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 and Spring 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, on-site.
- Duration: Minimum of 12 weeks.
- Compensation: $32.45 - $45.43 per hour plus benefits.
