About the role#
This internship focuses on the development of post-silicon validation plans, tools, and infrastructure for custom SoC and platform designs. You will work on characterizing Autopilot custom silicon and PCBA, troubleshooting hardware bugs, and performing failure analysis on factory and field return units.
What you'll do#
- Develop post-silicon validation plans and infrastructure.
- Validate high-speed Serdes and perform system-level power characterization.
- Create and execute synthetic workloads to stress functional blocks like the NPU, CPU, and camera interfaces.
- Build automated test frameworks for large-volume system-level testing.
- Assist in identifying and fixing hardware bugs before production.
- Participate in hardware design and schematic reviews.
- Develop firmware and write test cases.
- Collaborate with hardware design and firmware teams to improve system power and performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degree program.
- Expected graduation date between May 2027 and December 2027.
- Knowledge of computer architecture and ARM or x86 microarchitecture.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python or bash scripting.
- Experience with microcontroller and embedded systems programming.
- Familiarity with version control systems like git.
- Background in design, verification, or validation disciplines.
- Experience with system-level debug, root cause isolation, and test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with JTAG, OpenOCD, and logic or protocol analyzer equipment.
