About the role#
This internship focuses on the design and development of AI hardware. You will work on-site for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. We are looking for students currently enrolled in an academic program who intend to return to school following the internship.
What you'll do#
- Define micro-architecture specifications and designs.
- Develop performance, area, and power-efficient RTL designs.
- Create specifications and RTL for accelerators, memory, and network subsystems.
- Collaborate with architecture and software teams to meet design targets.
- Balance requirements for performance, power, safety, and cost.
- Perform trade-offs between functional, physical, and performance needs.
- Work alongside implementation, verification, and performance engineers.
- Ensure designs are optimized for synthesis.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between May 2027 and December 2027.
- Proficiency in Verilog RTL logic design.
- Knowledge of low latency, high bandwidth design techniques.
- Experience with low power microarchitecture and complex RTL design.
- Familiarity with simulators and waveform debug tools.
- Understanding of logic design principles, including timing and power implications.
- Experience with IEEE floating point, high speed SERDES, or SOC design is a plus.
