About the role#
This internship focuses on AI hardware design verification. You will work alongside engineers to ensure the reliability and performance of our hardware systems. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring a minimum of 12 weeks of commitment during the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Verify logic at the block, IP, subsystem, and full-chip levels.
- Develop test sequences, assertions, and coverage to test RTL.
- Debug RTL to identify root causes and collaborate with design engineers to fix issues.
- Run and triage regressions using frameworks like Jenkins and X-ray.
- Write scripts in Python for data parsing and workflow control.
- Write C and Python code for microcontrollers, FPGAs, and ASICs.
- Gain understanding of high-efficiency SOC architecture, standard peripherals, bus protocols, Network on chip, memory management, and multi-processor systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Programming skills in UVM, System Verilog, C, C++, Python, or Perl.
- Experience with SOC DV bring-up, including clocks, power, reset, and boot sequences.
- Experience verifying high-speed memory IPs, IO, and AMBA bus protocols.
- Experience verifying CPU, GPU, or IP integration at the SOC level.

- Locations: Palo Alto, California or Austin, Texas.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
