About the role#
Tesla is hiring Technical Program Management interns to support our Cell Manufacturing and engineering teams. You will work alongside engineers and managers to execute projects from concept to mass production. These roles involve cross-functional coordination, managing project lifecycles, and driving technical solutions within our manufacturing facilities.
What you'll do#
- Develop project timelines, track risks, and monitor progress for cross-functional teams.
- Define software features and lead their integration into manufacturing lines.
- Coordinate between groups including Engineering, Supply Chain, Production Planning, Construction, and Logistics.
- Support new product introduction trials and manufacturing ramp activities.
- Drive the design, installation, and commissioning of automated equipment.
- Analyze product metrics and business cases to identify issues and develop corrective measures.
- Manage vendor relations and stakeholder communication.
- Set standards for internal tools and work processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and the ability to apply them to solve technical problems.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with factory, construction, or manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Agile methodologies is a plus.
Location & details#
- Locations: Markham, ON; Toronto, ON; Palo Alto, CA; Fremont, CA; Austin, TX; Robstown, TX; Reno, NV.
- Term: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time, on-site, minimum 12 weeks.
- Compensation: Paid internship ($20.00 - $50.00 per hour plus benefits).
