About the role#
The AI Data Infrastructure team manages the lifecycle of data used to develop Full-Self-Driving technology and humanoid robots. You will work on systems that collect and process information from our fleet of vehicles to train neural networks. This role requires a full-time commitment of at least 12 weeks on-site.
What you'll do#
- Influence architectural decisions with a focus on security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Contribute to the enhancement of data processing infrastructure.
- Select technologies that scale with our growing fleet while managing cloud infrastructure costs.
- Collaborate with Autonomy teams to design and implement backend components for future features.
- Set up monitoring, metrics, and reporting systems for observability and alerting.
- Author automated tests to support reliable deployment cycles.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree program.
- Practical experience with application layer languages such as C++, Go, Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience with Linux, networking, and storage.
- Familiarity with virtualization automation tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Experience working with databases and search indexes including PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, or Redis.

- This position is based on-site in Palo Alto, California.
- Terms are available for Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
