About the role#
As a Service Technician Trainee intern, you will work at our service center to perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on Tesla electric vehicles. This is a full-time role for the Fall 2026 term. You will learn about electric vehicle technology while working in a team-based, customer-facing environment.
What you'll do#
- Inspect, repair, and service Tesla electric vehicles.
- Operate hand, power, and shop tools.
- Perform equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications.
- Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) for new cars.
- Maintain shop supplies, parts inventory, and records of time.
- Keep customer vehicles clean.
- Support Parts and Front of House operations on a rotational basis as needed.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair methods.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Basic computer skills, including web browsers and Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with the English language.
- A safety-first attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
- Current enrollment in an Automotive program is preferred.
