About the role#
As an Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS) intern, you will support day-to-day operations by working with production and engineering teams. You will help foster a safety and sustainability culture while gaining hands-on experience in various EHS disciplines. This is a full-time, on-site internship requiring 40 hours per week for at least 12 weeks. The term runs from January 2027 through May 2027.
What you'll do#
- Lead projects focused on equipment safety, industrial hygiene, occupational ergonomics, environmental compliance, sustainability, and training.
- Conduct safety walkthroughs and audits across the site.
- Deliver safety training sessions to employees.
- Participate in workplace incident analyses and help drive corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain key project metrics.
- Interact with internal and external partners to build professional relationships.
- Ensure site operations comply with federal, state, local, and corporate policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Environmental Studies, Industrial Safety, Public Health, Safety, or a related field.
- Previous work experience or internships in a relevant area.
- Proficiency or knowledge in Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or Python.
- Ability to adapt to change and work effectively in a changing environment.
- Resourceful, analytical, and results-oriented mindset.
