About the role#
The Project Engineering, Utility Deployment team focuses on the technical execution and deployment of energy storage systems at utility scale. This internship provides exposure to engineering, construction, and permitting concepts through hands-on project work.
What you'll do#
- Support the application of electrical and power systems knowledge to identify solutions for utility projects.
- Assist in the review of single line drawings, communication wiring diagrams, and BESS system layouts.
- Track project scope, schedules, and stakeholder updates to keep project teams in sync.
- Shadow senior engineers while they interface with internal stakeholders, utilities, contractors, and customers.
- Contribute to cross-functional discussions to help drive project solutions.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an academic program with a focus on Electrical Engineering.
- A basic understanding of engineering fundamentals, design rules, constructability, and utility requirements.
- A strong work ethic and a collaborative, team-oriented personality.
- Eagerness to learn in a hands-on environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Palo Alto, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January or February through May 2027).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site (40 hours per week).
- Duration: Minimum of 12 weeks.
- Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour plus benefits.
