About the role#
The Immigration Specialist Intern supports the Tesla immigration team with administrative tasks. You will help manage the sponsorship of US and global work visas while ensuring compliance with regulations. This role involves maintaining accurate system records and assisting the team with business travel documentation.
What you'll do#
- Update employee records and reports in internal systems.
- Respond to general immigration inquiries under team guidance.
- Build rapport with employees to help them navigate immigration processes.
- Analyze data to identify trends and process inefficiencies.
- Document workflows to simplify team operations.
- Coordinate regulatory notice of filing postings for green card and NIV cases.
- Process invitation letters for international business travelers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Political Science, International Relations, Human Resources, Sociology, or a related field.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within strict timelines.
- 1 to 2 years of experience or training in employment immigration is preferred.
- Familiarity with U.S. immigration documents like visa stamps, I-94 records, and USCIS approval notices is a plus.
