About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Austin, Texas. You will work on-site to gain practical experience in geotechnical engineering. Our program connects you with professionals who focus on solving technical challenges, and you will learn how classroom knowledge applies to real client projects. You will also join a nationwide cohort of interns and have the chance to share your experiences with executive leadership.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and technicians on field and laboratory assignments.
- Support active project work and observe how technical decisions translate to client and community outcomes.
- Build core skills in sampling, testing, data analysis, and report development.
- Receive mentorship from professionals committed to helping you grow.
- Learn about safe field and laboratory practices, ASTM, DOT, and COE testing standards, and project management fundamentals.
- Develop skills in proposal writing, quality management systems, and client communication.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related engineering, science, technical, or business fields.
- An interest in consulting and fieldwork.
- Demonstrated curiosity, teamwork, and alignment with our core values.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history may be required.
