About the role#
This Engineering Co-Op position is based in the NVH Engineering Department at Tenneco. You will work as an Engineering Assistant, supporting daily tasks and design investigations. This is a full-time, paid role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Write and follow up on customer prototype sales orders.
- Assist with material selection, molding, assembly, and testing.
- Develop tests and prepare DFMEA and DVP&R documentation.
- Evaluate assemblies, analyze data, and perform calculations.
- Observe and direct lab technicians across departments.
- Support engineers with daily tasks related to new product designs.
- Evaluate design improvements, manufacturing processes, and competitive products.
- Help lab personnel develop test fixturing, assembly tooling, and sample molding.
- Assist with benchmarking activities.
- Follow all company policies, including the quality management system and safety protocols.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a BS in Engineering and have made satisfactory progress toward your degree.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
