About the role#
The Nurse Extern program provides nursing students with expanded clinical experience across multiple specialties. This is a developmental role that involves participation in a guided training program aligned with State Board of Nursing requirements. You will work in a patient care support capacity to gain hands-on skills while assisting the nursing staff.
What you'll do#
- Provide essential assistance and comfort to patients.
- Participate in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation.
- Report significant patient observations to a Registered Nurse.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN program.
- Completion of your first clinical rotation.
- Active AHA BLS certification.
