About the role#
The New Product Development Engineering Co-op assists our product development teams in R&D, QA/RA, and Operations. You will work on researching, designing, testing, and validating engineering solutions for assigned projects. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Cincinnati, Ohio, for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Create design concepts for products, parts, and assemblies.
- Build prototypes and breadboards using 3D printers and model shop equipment.
- Prepare project documentation, including CAD data, reports, and presentations.
- Follow Quality Management Systems and help create necessary records.
- Participate in project research and brainstorming sessions.
- Perform experiments and testing to support product development.
- Maintain the laboratory and other facilities.
- Propose process changes to improve quality, cost, and schedule.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial, Electrical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Intermediate knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD.
- Basic knowledge of geometric tolerance analysis.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write documents in a concise and logical format.
- Willingness to take direction and accept constructive feedback.
Location & details#
- Location: Cincinnati, Ohio.
- Work Modality: On-site, Monday through Friday.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: Paid position ($20 to $25 per hour).
- Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
