About the role#
Teledyne Brown Engineering is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to work on medical planning tools for the NHRC. This is a full-time, paid internship scheduled for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama, for approximately three months.
What you'll do#
- Write code for simple front-end or back-end features.
- Help the team with browser compatibility testing and debugging.
- Fix minor software bugs.
- Join team meetings, sprint planning sessions, and code reviews to learn how the development lifecycle works.
- Update mentors and team leaders on your progress.
- Shadow experienced engineers to learn about modular design and code maintainability.
- Research or prototype new features to support project goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Completion of at least two years toward a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A strong foundation in an object-oriented programming language like C#, C++, or Java.
- Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to facility access restrictions.
- Any prior experience with .NET or Blazor is a plus but not required.
