About the role#
This is a 4-month co-op position for the Fall 2026 term. You will join the team as a sensor characterization specialist, focusing on the performance evaluation of the latest CMOS image sensors. You will work alongside image sensor designers and report to project leaders and senior team members to ensure technical objectives are met.
What you'll do#
- Characterize and evaluate the performance of new CMOS image sensors.
- Use electronics lab equipment and custom software to confirm sensor functionality.
- Measure electrical and electro-optical performance, including charge transfer efficiency, photon transfer curves, and crosstalk.
- Investigate technical issues reported by end customers.
- Suggest operational changes to improve overall sensor performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering (Electrical, Computer, or Systems).
- Familiarity with MS Office.
- Experience or interest in using Python 3 and Matlab.
- Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
