About the role#
As a Project Manager Intern at Tecta America Commercial Roofing, you will support the roofing, architectural metals, and mechanical departments. You will assist with project management, sales tracking, and day-to-day operations to help maintain project profitability and company reputation.
What you'll do#
- Develop and track sales leads while promoting department services.
- Estimate job costs and present proposals for review.
- Manage projects to meet specific schedules and budget targets.
- Oversee production, quality control, and inventory management.
- Handle project billings, invoice approvals, and payroll coordination.
- Resolve client disputes and address customer requests or complaints.
- Coordinate with prime and subcontractors regarding schedules, change orders, and submittals.
- Monitor labor and material costs to maximize daily revenue.
- Perform roof inspections and surveys, which requires climbing extension ladders.
- Maintain company equipment, vehicles, and adherence to personnel policies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and project estimating software.
- Ability to perform calculations involving algebra and geometry.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Capability to read complex instructions and write professional correspondence.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Comfort with heights and the ability to climb ladders for inspections.
- Bi-lingual communication skills are a plus.
