About the role#
Teck Resources Limited is hiring a Health, Safety & Security Co-op for an 8-month term starting in Summer 2027. This is a full-time, on-site position based at the Highland Valley Copper operation near Logan Lake, British Columbia.
What you'll do#
You will support the safety team by performing several key tasks to maintain site standards. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting safety audits.
- Assisting with risk assessments.
- Supporting safety training programs.
- Documenting safety procedures.
- Promoting a safe work environment for all personnel.
What you'll need#
We are looking for students currently pursuing degrees in Environmental Engineering, Health Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or Civil Engineering. You should have:
- A clear understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Strong analytical skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills.
