About the role#
This Commercial Banking Summer Internship is a 10-week program based in New York. You will join the Sponsor Backed Finance team, which manages credit relationships and supports complex, sponsor-led transactions. This role offers an introduction to commercial banking through professional training, networking with senior leaders, and community service projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist in evaluating sponsor finance opportunities to learn the credit underwriting process.
- Participate in sponsor-focused strategy exercises.
- Manage the deal tracker as opportunities move through the diligence process.
- Update marketing materials as needed.
- Attend sponsor meetings and calls.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a post-secondary degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Must be work authorized in the United States on a permanent basis. We do not provide sponsorship for this role.
