    About the role#

    This is a paid, full-time internship based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. You will work on-site, contributing to technical projects while learning the product development process. The role requires you to work both independently and as part of a team.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage your own design project from start to finish.
    • Document design and testing phases.
    • Provide engineering support to internal teams and external customers on current projects.
    • Apply your technical skills to perform engineering work.
    • Demonstrate the guiding principles of Aerostar.
    • Present your project work at the end of the summer.
    • Assist with other duties as needed.

    What you'll need#

    • At least 2 years of progress toward a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science.
    • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
    • Strong communication skills for working with team members and leadership.
    • Ability to multitask and handle several projects at once without close supervision.
    • A high level of discretion and confidentiality.
    • Hands-on experience in manufacturing, testing, or lab settings is a plus.
    • Familiarity with SolidWorks, Matlab, or Python is also preferred.
