About the role#
Tatham Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineering student for the fall 2026 term in the Ottawa office. This position primarily supports the land development engineering department, with potential assignments in municipal, water resources, water and wastewater, transportation, or structural departments. You will work alongside experienced professionals on a variety of projects in both office and field settings.
What you'll do#
- Perform data analysis and prepare compliance reports.
- Assist with design calculations and AutoCAD drafting.
- Prepare applications for project approvals.
- Compile and analyze data to support project managers.
- Assist with the preparation of tender and contract administration documents.
- Participate in construction inspections and general engineering tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering program.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with report writing.
- Ability to assist with data collection and computer modelling.

- Compensation: $22.00 to $27.00 per hour, commensurate with skills and experience.
