About the role#
Tatham Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineering student for the fall 2026 term in the Ottawa office. This role primarily supports the land development engineering department, with potential opportunities to assist in municipal, water resources, water and wastewater, transportation, or structural departments. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Perform data analysis and prepare compliance reports.
- Assist with design calculations and AutoCAD drafting.
- Prepare applications for approval.
- Compile and analyze project data.
- Assist with the preparation of tender and contract administration documents.
- Support construction inspection activities.
- Provide miscellaneous engineering assistance to project managers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university civil engineering program.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Practical experience with AutoCAD.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with report writing.
- Ability to perform data collection and computer modelling.
